How We Help You Put A Fertility-Promoting Lifestyle Into Practice

Behavior change is hard, especially when the stakes feel as high as getting pregnant. Here is how Doveras helps.

Finding peace of mind and making personalized recommendations for lifestyle changes shouldn't be an additional source of stress in your life. At Doveras, we have the science-backed solutions to help you confidently navigate your journey. Here's what you can expect from our experience and our design principles:

1. Emphasize Consistency Rather Than Perfection: "The 80/20 Rule"

Instead of striving for perfection, we encourage our members to prioritize consistency. Adopting a fertility-supporting lifestyle pattern 80% of the time allows room for guilt-free indulgences — there should be no shame in enjoying that cocktail or croissant.

Our members share this approach provides stress relief and the freedom to be kind to yourself.

2. Prioritize Intuition-Building Rather Than A Laundry List of Changes: The 3 Pillars of Fertility Health

Rather than overwhelming you with a laundry list of changes, we focus on building your intuition around the 3 Pillars of Fertility Health: nutrition, toxin reduction, and wellness.

Our expert-developed programs cover evidence-based frameworks, tips, and tricks to help you holistically build a fertility-friendly lifestyle.

By focusing on these pillars, our members find it easier to navigate their day to day life, without feeling like they're constantly checking / worrying if something is on the "nice" or "naughty" list.

Doveras developed the world’s largest database of fertility lifestyle science and research to help. Our egg and sperm health programs translate this science to you, helping you target what matters most to improve your unique fertility health.
3. Make Trade-Offs Rather Than Follow Hard & Fast Rules: Our Evidence Grading System

Every fertility health journey is unique, and what works for one person may not work for another. Our evidence grading system brings transparency to the "state of science" backing various lifestyle choices: for every recommendation, we state whether the science is Early, Emerging, or Established.

By understanding the level of evidence, you can cut through the noise and make informed decisions that are right for you. Our community shares this helps them confidently make trade-offs and priorities.

Why Doesn't Doveras Focus on Tracking Behaviors?

We have made the design choice to not focus on tracking individual behavior. There are a number of reasons for this.

For those already trying-to-conceive, we know you’re likely already tracking all things — from your period to your ovulation and hormones to when you have sex. We don’t want you to feel like you have to add tracking lifestyle choices to the list.

Ultimately, our goal is to help you build confidence around the lifestyle choices you make (and let go of the ones that don't matter so much) so you can live your life with peace of mind. No guilt or shame here.

So instead of tracking, we focus on helping you engage with new material each week to build up your knowledge base and intuition over time.

Beyond being our philosophical approach, this method for making behavior change has been consistently proven to be most effective for building long-term, sustainable behavior change.
